North-Moravian town Lipnik nad Becvou on the Becva river, near the medieval Helfstyn castle. The first written records on the village called Lipnik dates back to 1238. Lipnik was raised to the status of a town in 1256. Town's greatest growth was in the middle of the 15th Century when Vilem of Pernstejn began to rule. The centre of town as well as the monastery and mansion house were proclaimed an urban conservation area in 1989.
